The Jan Carroll Show started many years ago...a brief history!

I began in terresterial radio many years ago at an AM station, WIZO, in Nashville.  My "timeslot" was 10am - 2pm...during this time, I had the honor to meet and become friends with many known artists!  To name a few....

I was in studio one day "on air" when Waylon Jennings (country artist) walked into my studio and said:  "Girl, I had to meet you, I've been listening to you for months"...of course, I had to put him "on air" with me!  LOL  I've been so blessed to know and become friends with so many artists.  To name a few of good friends:  Johnny Cash, Clifford Curry, Faron Young, John R (WLAC) Tom T. Hall, George Jones, The Platters, Little Anthony, Alex Haley (see the picture above of Alex and I) and so many more than I can remember!

During my time on "terresterial radio"...I was a newspaper reporter/TV reporter and worked with Pres. Jimmy Carter at certain events in TN.  (thanks Sam for all the times that someone would fill-in during my shows) During this time, I was a wife/mom...how did I do all of this???  LOL  (I was much younger than now) I have interviewed some of the most interesting musician/writers..maybe I should write a book, think???

But now, I'm enjoying myself "spinning the tunes" for the devoted listeners to Krush Radio on Thursday and Sunday nites.  Will I ever retire???  Nahhhhhhhhhhh....
